I think we all feel like this from time to time, bored of our wardrobe and our "look". Usually it's the hair that gets the chop, or an expensive shopping spree, but when was the last time you changed up your make-up routine? Have you been wearing the same liquid liner or brown eyeshadow for as long as you can remember? Getting out of old habits can be liberating, you don't have to replace your whole make-up bag with new products. Here are some easy switch ups.

If you always use a pink blush, why not try a peach toned blush or even a bronzing powder instead. I love Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Make-up Base, although pricey, its good value for money, lasting forever! If you usually wear a powder blush, why not switch for a cream blush, giving your cheek area a natural flush and sheen.

If you always do a liquid eyeliner, try changing to a kohl pencil, in grey or bronze/brown instead. You can create a quick smokey eye by tracing the lash line on top and underneath the eye and smudging with a clean brush or cotton tip. My go-to eyeliner is Teddy from MAC, working beautifully on both brown and blue eyes. If you have green eyes, go for a soft grey instead.

Switch from a nude lipstick to a bright colour in either pink or red.  If this is too scary, what about a stain to ease you into wearing a bold lip. Apply the lipstick and blot down with a tissue until you get the concentration of colour you want.

Bored with your eyeshadow colours? Invest in a new pallet of colours. This NYX Dream Catcher Pallet in Dusk Till Dawn is a bargain at R224.95. A good selection of both "to the office" tones and darker sparkly colours that transition your look easily from day to night.
