HOW TO STYLE A LOB

Styling the long bob, LOB (what a good word) is easy with a few quick tips. So many people iron out their slightly wavy hair because they simply have given up on curls. Styling curls is actually far easier than you think and can be a lot more flattering than straight hair on some face shapes.

  • Dry hair, it must be properly dry, never tong damp hair!
  • Sprits with heat protection spray, don't be lazy with this step, it really does protect your hair.
  • Section hair, starting at the bottom layer and working your way up to the top. Leave the front section until last.
  • Use the glove that the wand comes with, I have burnt my fingers countless times and these things get so hot, it's no joke!
  • Hold the wand at an angle with your hand at the top and the tip of the wand facing down
  • Wrap the hair around and away from your face at the front and alternate as you move around the head. Leave the ends of the hair out of the wand. The straight ends keep the hair looking undone.
  • Once you have tonged every section, spray hair with hairspray for hold.
  • A light spray of dry shampoo at the roots adds some volume.
  • Shake your hair out and lightly run your hands through the curls to break them up.

*Pro Tip*

I will often wash my hair early evening and let it air dry, tonging it just before bed, saving on hair drying time and heat exposure.
