"VICTORIA SECRET" MAKE-UP

I had the pleasure of working with the lovely Tana for Women's Health magazine in Cape Town. The brief was what I think is a very "Victoria Secret" Look. A smoky glossy eye and some undone, tousled hair. The secret to this look, and the most important thing is, the skin! Glowing, healthy skin. Lucky for me Tana's skin is perfection. She attributes this to her good habits of eating well, drinking water and exercise, particularly Sweat 1000. Easy enough, eh?

Fake the good skin...

For those of us not as blessed in the good skin genes department, I would advise using a glow balm as a good brightening base for the skin. Try MAC strobe cream. Then use a luminous foundation, I like Chanel Vitalumiere or Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation. Blend this and layer up if you need extra coverage. Spot conceal any areas that need a little more attention. Use a cream blusher to give a luminous sheer colour to the cheeks. I've used Bobbi Brown Calypso Coral. This is a great product as it doubles up as a lip colour too.

Eye tricks...

This MAC cream shadow is a winner on all eye colours, I have used it close on a million times. I think it's discontinued which makes me want to scream, why do they always discontinue the best products? I have found similar at Bobbi Brown here. Wash this over the eye to create a subtle smoky eye.

Lippy...

As the eyes are strongish, I've kept lips natural with just a touch of a stain from Benetint, Benefit.
