One step beyond the standard smoky eye is the Inky Eye. I love navy, it's a modern and flattering colour on all. This is a super easy and quick look, using one product. I've used NARS Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in Dark Rite. It doesn't have to be NARS, there are many other beautiful navy eye pencils out there to substitute with.

Using the chubby stick make sure it's sharp and trace your eye on the top and bottom, as close to the lash line as possible. If you are using a chubby stick like the one I've used, it will naturally draw a thicker line. If you are using a normal eyeliner, start by tracing the lash line on the top and then double up and make the line thicker as you go over your original line. Also fill in your waterline. Blend with a clean brush to soften the lines.

You don't really need much in the way of more definition to your eyes as you have drawn a thick line already, but a coat of mascara will help open the eyes. Remember to clean up any smudges with a cotton tip and make-up remover before going on to conceal under your eyes.

Leaving your foundation until last, is the best way to save time, as you don't have to remove and redo any spots. So once you have cleaned any spots with a cotton tip, blend in your foundation on the areas that need some coverage. Apply a nude lipstick to finish off the look.

*Pro Tip*

When tracing the eye area, drag the pencil out and up slightly at the corners of the eye, use your blending brush to blend outwards - this small lift creates the cat eye that lifts and accentuates the whole eye area.
