REVIEW: ELEMIS

Happy 2018! I have so many exciting posts lined up for you in the coming weeks! After a great response to my launch at the end of last year, I want 2018 to be even bigger and better. If you haven't already, please sign up for regular updates (subscribe in the box to the right of this post, under the round picture of me, or pop your email address in the comments below and I will subscribe for you!) xx

On to my Elemis review, I first discovered the wonders of a cleansing balm a few years ago at a launch in London for Eve Lom, the cult cleansing balm was a revelation to my skin. After moving to the UK I found my skin dried out in the cold winter months and my usual gel face cleanser now just simply wasn't enough, it left my skin feeling tight and dry.

The Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm from Elemis is a firm favourite, it takes me instantly to that stepped-into-a-spa feeling. It's deep cleansing, removing not only all traces of make up, but it leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated. I use a warm, clean face cloth to remove the balm after I have massaged it into my skin. I tend to double cleanse, by firstly removing all make up the first time round and then following up with a second cleanse to make sure my skin is thoroughly clean.

I have formed the habit of coming in from work and starting my skincare routine then. By cleansing all the make-up and sunblock from the day, I feel it gives my skin time to breath. Doing it this way, avoids getting to that exhausted, just want to go to bed NOW stage, neglecting my skincare routine altogether. I am after all, not a night owl!

Another fab product which helps to refine and smooth the skins texture is the Dynamic Resurfacing Gel Mask, it leaves skin feeling tingly and cool, a great way to end off a hot summers day. My skin was noticeably smoother, more radiant than shiny, and felt hydrated and calm.

A hand bag must have especially through the summer months is the Soothing Apricot Toner, with extracts from Apricot, Sweet Betty and Quillaja Wood that help to soothe and harmonise the skin.

An absolute treat for the skin and something I highly recommend are the Cellular Recovery Skin Bliss Capsules. The antioxidant (Pink Rose) for day and (Green Lavender) for night, visibly help to improve the signs of ageing, from the effects of day to day pollution.

Elemis is available in South Africa at Edgars.
